Chargé d'affaires a.i. Mr. Sun Yinglai of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia meets with State Secretary Mr. Kaspars Ozolins of the Ministry of Transport of Latvia

On January 29th, Mr. Sun Yinglai, Chargé d'affaires a.i.of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia met with Mr. Kaspars Ozolins, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Latvia, to exchange views on strengthening the pragmatic cooperation in transportation and logistics. Mr. Shen Xiaokai, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia and Ms. Elina Luca-Ratfeldere, Director of Department for Coordination of International Projects of Ministry of Transport also attended the meeting.

In the meeting, Mr. Sun Yinglai said that China has attached great importance to the cooperation with Latvia in the fields of transportation and logistics and hopes both sides will maintain the momentum of cooperation in 2019. Through developing cooperation in e-commerce, both sides will be able to explore the potential of ports, shipping, aviation, China Railway Express, and cross-border logistics,among other fields.

During the meeting, Mr. Sun Yinglai also said China hopes both sides will work together to expand areas of cooperation, including 5G communications, to promote the cooperation between China and Latvia in transportation and logistics industry to achieve new results under the framework of "16+1 Cooperation" and "Belt and Road" construction.
