A Delegation of Travel Agencies from China Visited Latvia

With a view to promote the bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism between China and Latvia, especially to further explore the possibility of making arrangement for visits to Latvia by organized tourist groups from China, at the invitation by the Tourism Development Board of the Riga City Council, a 10 member delegation representing 7 well-known travel agencies in China, led by Mr. He Yu, Inspector General of the Department of Tourism of China Lucky International Travel Service visited Latvia from November 2 to 9, 2010. During the stay in Latvia, Mr. Nils Ušakovs, the Chairman of the Presidium of Riga City Council met the delegation. . 1 Travel of Latvia held discussions with the Chinese counterparts. The delegation also visited some of the unique scenic spots in Latvia. Both sides were confident of promoting tourism cooperation and agreed that the mutual communications and understandings should be strengthened further, the details and plans of various cooperation should be conducted in-depth. Both sides committed that the visits to Latvia by the organized tourist groups from China shall be arranged at an early date and further efforts shall be made to promote the faster development of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism between China and Latvia.
